We have partial results, but only the winners of some classes.

We have the first three Unlimited class finishers, but only very limited 250cc and 125cc results.

16 April 1970 – Seattle Road Race, Kent
We have the full result of the main event, but only the 250cc winner, Cal Rayborn (Harley-Davidson).

3 May 1970 – Queensland TT, Surfers Paradise
We have the race winners only, Unlimited- Barry Rattray (Yamaha),350cc, 250cc and 125cc- Ron Toombs (Yamaha), Unlimited and 750cc Sidecar- Brian Payne (Norton).

30-31 May – Canadian Grand Prix, probably Mosport Park, Toronto
We have no results.

13 June 1970 – Laconia 100, Loudon
We have the full result of the main event, but only the 250cc winner, Yvon DuHamel (Yamaha).

14 June 1970 – Budapest meeting
We have no results.

26 July 1970 – Hameenlinna International Road Races
We have the solo results (only the first three 125cc finishers), but only the Sidecar winner, Matti Satukangas (MS-Sachs).

30 August 1970 – Royal Perak GP, Perak
We have the first two finishers only, Ow Teck Wing (Yamaha) and Tham Bing Kwan (Kwan Special).

30 August 1970 – Greek Grand Prix, Corfu
13 September 1970 – Circuit de Seville
We have no results.

20 September 1970 – Circuit de Jerez
We only know the first two 125cc finishers, Barry Sheene (Suzuki) and Angel Nieto (Derbi). We have no information about other races.

11 October 1970 – Circuito di Ospedaletti, San Remo
We have partial results, but only the first two 500cc finishers, Giacomo Agostini (MV-Agusta) and Angelo Bergamonti (MV-Agusta), and only the 50cc winner, Gilberto Parlotti (Tomos).

25 October 1970 – Queensland GP, Surfers Paradise
We have the race winners only, Unlimited & 350cc- Brian Hindle (Yamaha), 250cc & 125cc- Ron Toombs (Yamaha), Unlimited Sidecar- Orrie Salter (Honda), 750cc Sidecar- Brian Payne (Norton).

Ian Ardill (Yamaha) won the 500cc race from Bob Jolly (Yamaha), D. Hein (Yamaha) won the 350cc race and Norman Cops (Yamaha) won the 250cc race. We have no firther information about this event.

18 June 1971 – Hameenlinna International road races
We have the results, but only the 125cc winner Börje Jansson (Maico).

20 June & 8 August 1971 – Budapest meetings

We have no results.

15 August 1971 – Australian Grand Prix, Lakeside, Brisbane
We have the first three finishers in the solo races, but only the winners of the two Sidecar races, Stan Bayliss / Don Blair (Honda).

We have the race winners and one second place only.

We have no results.

We have the race winners and one second place only.

Akiyasu Motohashi (Yamaha) won the main event, but we have no further details.

We have the first three Unlimited and 500cc finishers, but only the winners of other races. Len Atlee won the 350cc and 250cc races on Yamahas and the 125cc race on a CSD-Yamaha, and Stan Bayliss (Honda) won both Sidecar classes.

We have the first three finishers in the main classes, but only the winner of the Production race, Dave Woolley (Honda).

8-9 July 1972 – Rouen 6 hour race
We have full results of the main event and supporting classes, except the Critérium des Sports race. We have the winner only, Hubert Rigal (Kawasaki).

We have at least the first 3 finishers in every class except 50cc. We only know the winner of that race, Gerhard Thurow (Kreidler).

We have no results and the meeting may have been cancelled due to war.

25 May 1974 – South African championships – Kyalami
Johann Boshoff (Yamaha) and Alan North (Yamaha) finished 1st and 2nd in the national championship race, but we have no further information.

2 June 1974- Road Atlanta 75 mile race
We have the full result of the National race, but only the 250cc winner, Kenny Roberts (Yamaha).

17 June 1974 – Loudon 75 mile race
We have the full result of the National race, but only the 250cc winner, Gary Scott (Harley-Davidson).

We have no results.

30 June 1974 – Canadian Grand Prix, Mosport Park, Toronto
We have the first three finishers in the Unlimited class but only the winner of the 500cc, 250cc and 125cc races. Steve Baker (Yamaha) won all four races.

Pan Pacific Cup

Gregg Hansford (Kawasaki) won the two Cup races but we have no details of any other finishers or of the supporting races.

We have the first four finishers in the Cup races but we have no details of the supporting races.

    Note that the above races were actually races of the Greek Championship and the Italian racers were special guests. I’ll be back soon with more information and results tables after consulting my collection of periodicals of that era.
